Open in App
Solution

A recognition site is a location on a nucleic acid (DNA) at which the restriction enzyme makes cut so that gene of interest can be inserted there. Tet R gene has Bam HI recognition site means that the gene sequence which provides tetracycline resistance in plasmid vector pBR32 is a recognition site for the enzyme Bam HI. In otherwords Bam HI recognises the sequence at which tetracycline resistance gene (Tet R) is present to make a cut.
