Celestial mechanics and terrestrial mechanics are studied under classical mechanics.It is assumed that celestial mechanics is governed by Ptolemy or Kepler’s laws while terrestrial mechanics was governed by Aristotle or Galilean laws. Terrestrial Mechanics is a study of motion and interaction of everyday objects we encounter on Earth. Celestial Mechanics is a study of motion and interaction of heavenly bodies (stars and planets) out in space.
