Solution
Palpatory method: This is a simple method in which pulse is felt or simply palpitations are observed in the radial artery when the external pressure applied is reduced.Only systolic blood pressure can be measured by this method.
Ausculatory method: Pressure is applied externally to an artery to stop the blood flow. Then the blood pressure is determined by listening to various arterial sounds that are produced when the external pressure is reduced and the blood begins to flow again.
