Dear Student, when the balance of Goodwill increases from Previous Year to Current Year then it is termed as Goodwill Purchased.
Goodwill is an intangible asset of the company, therefore, its purchase causes outflow of cash (for purchase of asset).
Hence, it is shown as outflow of cash under Cash Flow from Investing Activities.
