what is the conventional flow of current how does it differ from flow of electron

Conventionally the direction of current is taken from positive terminal to the negative terminal which is opposite to the direction of flow of electric charges. Electric current is the flow of charges.In a circuit electrons flow from negative to the positive terminal while current flows from positive to negative terminal.
