Question

what is the difference b/w Bohrs model of an atom and rutherford model of atom?

Open in App
Solution

Rutherford's theory stated that atoms have a very small nucleus with a shield of randomly spaced electrons around it (leaving most of the atom as empty space). Bohr believed that electrons have a certain amount of energy, so they have to follow certain paths, these theories are almost the same.
