1 Air contains gases, mainly oxygen with which living things live and breathe. It has no colour, smell and definite shape and volume. Atmosphere is a band of gases that encloses a planet.
2 Air also contains water vapour, smoke and dust particles. It is the gravity of the earth that grips atmosphere in a place.
