Question

what is the difference between amoeba and entamoeba?

Open in App
Solution

Difference between Amoeba and Entamoeba:

1)Entamoebas are internal parasite and cause diseases in animal and humans, whereas Amoebas are heterotrophes and eat organisms present in water such as plankton.

2) Contractile vacuole is present in amoeba but absent in Entamoeba, because Amoeba lives in water and needs osmotic regulation. Entamoeba lives as parasite inside the host body, so it doesn't need contractile vacuole.
