Open in App
Solution

Chasmogamy is a type of flower that opens only at maturity to expose the stamen and carpel for fertilization. E.g. passion flower.
Cleistogamy is a type of flower that does not open and the self fertilization occurs inside. To avoid cross pollination they remain closed. E.g. peanut, peas and beans.
