what is the difference between len's formula and len's maker formula

Lens maker formula is used to focal length of the lens using the refractive index of the lens and radii of the lens.

But lens formula is used to find out the location of the image when we know the location of the object.
ex: to find that which lens we should use for the eye we use lens formula.
