Blood flows rapidly and transports materials up to and from the tissues but does not reach the cells directly Lymph flows slowly and transfers materials from blood to cells and vice versa
Amount of plasma proteins is high in blood. Amount of plasma proteins is less in lymph.
The sequence of fluid flow is heart arteries capillaries veins and back to heart The sequence of fluid flow is blood capillaries (blood) interstitial spaces (interstitial fluid) lymphatic capillaries (lymph) lymphatic vessels (lymph) lymphatic ducts (lymph) junction of the internal jugular and subclavian veins (blood).
