Regular farming is a system with the maximum use of chemicals like fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides etc.. They disturb the ecosystem by polluting air, water etc.

Organic farming is a farming system with minimal or no use of chemicals as fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides. Organic farming works in harmony with nature, rather than against it.

A major benefit to consumers of organic food is that it is free of contamination with health harming chemicals such as pesticides, fungicides and herbicides.

Major Advantages of organic farming:

  • Natural ecosystem is not disturbed.
  • Soil fertility is preserved
  • Harmful effects of chemical on living organisms are avoided.
  • Pollution of air, water and soil does not take place.
