Solution

A political party is constituted by a group of people who come together to contest elections with the aim of holding power and running the government. Political parties are formed by people on the basis of shared political, social and economic ideologies and principles. These are given shape in the form of electoral promises made to voters which are known as manifesto. Political parties work to raise awareness among people about political and social issues and promise to provide solutions to them through their programmes which are to be implemented if they come to power.
