what is the role of disorbtion in the process of catalyst ?

Desorption means removal chemical species from catalyst surface. Because of desorption, the surface of the catalyst may become available for other reactant molecules to be adsorbed. Hence the catalysis will be continue, proceeding the reaction by using very less amount of catalyst.
