What is the SI, CGS, FPS system of measurement ?

These are different systems of measurements which have been followed by scientists in different periods of time to measure things.
The SI is Universal System of Units which is the modern metric system based in metre-kilogram-second.
The CGS system stands for Centimeter- Gram- Second system. In CGS system, length is measured in centimeters mass is measured in grams and time is in seconds .
FPS is Foot-Pound-Second which was used around the 20th century.
