Question

what is the significance of work energy theorem?

Open in App
Solution

Work-energy theorem is based on law of conservation of energy. The work done on a body may be stored in form of potential energy, and may be converted into kinetic energy. Theoretically, no energy is lost.

The reverse is also true. Mechanical energy possessed by the body may be used by it to do work.
