What is the use of blood capillaries in maintaining body temperature
When our body gets heated, the temperature inside the body also rises up. As a result the blood vessels widen up to flow more amount of blood towards the skin. As some amount of heat gets released from blood through the skin, the body cools down. Similarly when the body gets cooled, the blood vessels inside the body become narrow and the amount of blood flow lowers down. This restricts the blood supply towards the skin. As a result the remaining heat cannot go out through the skin and the body gradually becomes hot.
