Tissue culture is the technique used for the vegetative propagation of plants. It can be done by taking a growing part of a plant like root or stem or a group of cells and growing them either in a petri plate or test tube under aseptic conditions in the artificial medium. As shoots emerge from the culture, they are sliced off and transferred to a fresh medium containing growth hormones. After some days, plant saplings are formed which are transferred to potting soil for further growth as normal plants
