Solution

A Foucault pendulum is a type of a pendulum designed by Léon Foucault which is comparatively larger than conventional telescopes. To demonstrate its working, its one end is attached to a ceiling while the other end (bob) oscillates over a scaled chart. It is sued to demonstrate the rotation of earth. The bob of the pendulum moves on the scale continuously due to that.
