Solution

Both internally and externally, India is a sovereign nation. Indian Constitution is sovereign in all respect. The following are some of the basic features of a sovereign nation that India satisfies:

  • India does not not recognize legal supremacy of any other country.
  • No other State or external power can interfere in the internal and external affairs of the country.
  • India being a democracy the sovereign power lies in the people of India.
  • India has enacted the constitution and recognizes it as the supreme law of the land.
  • Though India is a member of the Common Wealth of Nations and the U.N.O, their membership does not imply any hindrance in the functioning of the state.
