What steps have been taken by the government to remove the inequality between genders ?
India makes no discrimination on the grounds of gender. The fundamental right guarantees this equality and all its citizens are equal before law. There is also stated in the Directive Principles that there should be equal pay for equal rights. Apart from these laws have been passed that guarantees women the protection against domestic violence, eve teasing and other crimes. To bring women at par with the men of the country, seats have been reserved for them in the Parliament.
