Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease. It is highly infectious disease caused by the bacteria Treponema pallidum. These bacteria transmit by sexual contacts or from pregnant mother to the child.

The symptoms of this disease are initially non itching skin ulceration followed by fever, sore throat, weight loss, hair loss and even hepatitis or kidney failure.
