Features of Taj Mahal:
a. The white marble mausoleum was placed on a terrace by the edge of the river.
b. The main structure is surrounded by gardens, fountains and pools.
c. It is made from pure white marble, which was brought from Rajasthan, Punjab, China, Tibet, Afghanistan, Sri lanka, & Arabia.
d. 28 different varieties of semi-precious and precious stones were used for exquisite internal work.
e. At each of the four comers of the main structure, there is a minaret.
f. Passages from Quran have been used as decorative elements throughout the complex.
