pH of pure water is 7.Although the pH of salt solutions depend upon the moles of salts but generally, as compared to water the pH of aqueous solutions of following salts will be:

Sodium carbonate - 11 to 12

Sodium chloride – 7

Sodium acetate – slightly more than 7

Ammonium chloride – between 5 to 6

Calcium chloride – less than 7
