When a light ray touches the base of a sea or ocean , is it absorbed or gets reflected ? If it gets reflected then how ?

Solution

Some of the light incident is absorbed, and some of it is reflected back. It is reflected following the laws of reflection. But dispersion of light and diffuse reflection occur due to which it is dark at the bottom of the ocean.
