Question

When a magnet is freely suspened the north pole of the magnet points towards the geographic north pole of the earth. Does it means that the magnet gets attracted?

The magnet is freely suspended, then the south pole of the magnet points to the north of the geomagnetic pole.
Since we know that unlike poles attract. The south pole of the magnet to the geomagnetic north and the north pole of the magnet to the geomagnetic south.
