when does the plants release CO2.
rn
Plants release carbon dioxide when it breaks down the food manufactured to generate energy, i.e. when plants respire. This process of respiration occurs irrespective of light and hence occurs all through the day as well as night. So, we can conclude that plants release carbon dioxide at every moment but during the day when photosynthesis occurs the amount of oxygen released is much higher than the amount of carbon dioxide and in the night when there is no photosynthesis, the release of carbon dioxide can be easily noticed.
It can be understood by this analogy, we cannot see stars in the day because of bright sunlight even though stars are present.
