Question

when i was riding a bicycle i was slow, but when i took a turn the speed increased,why this happened?

it was not a coincident nor i was riding a inclined plane.i observed it many times happening.

when i was playing in my society i was riding my bicycle, at first i paddled fast and after i stopped paddling it covered only half of the society, but when again when i paddled very fast and stopped paddling, i was taking turn and turn/turning the handle left right left right it covered the full society.

This is because when you make a turn another force called centripetal force comes into play due to your changing direction which accelerates you.
