Question

when point p lies inside uniformly charged spherical shell then why there is no charge inside?

Open in App
Solution

When we take point P inside the spherical shell. Then the gaussian surface does not contain any charge, because the whole charge is on the body of the shell which is out side the gaussian surface in this case. And the gaussian surface is taken inside the shell, whose radius is smaller than the radius of the shell.
