when sun/white light internally refract and separate into its component colors in many water droplets in the sky, where can the rainbow form? There is no screen to capture the image so how is it possible?

Its the water droplets and tiny dust particles that act as screen for formation of rainbow.Rainbows are always formed in sky at a position opposite to the sun.The formation of rainbows involve both reflection and refraction.Water droplets have to be seen from a particular angle, if rainbow is to be viewed.
