When the cells are arranged in parallel , why does the current-capacity increase ? What is the exact meaning of current capacity ?

When cells are arranged in parallel then overall resistance is less. As , according to ohm's law,
V = IR. So, when R decreases, current increases . That's why when cells are arranged in parallel current capacity increases.
Meaning of current capacity is maximum amount of current tolerated by the device with out making it damage.
