When the current flows in a coil in anti-clockwise direction, what pole does it creat? Why?

If we place the coil on horizontal table and current is moving anticlockwise direction .According to Flemings right hand thumb rule if we curl the fingers in the direction of current our thumb will show direction of magnetic field,As magnetic field is upward it means upper surface is north pole and lower surface is south pole . because magnetic field lines starts from north and emerges at south.
