Open in App
Solution

The front column of grey matter in the spinal cord is called ventral horn. When it is touched, it produces violent motion of muscles because it is the centre for the control of axial muscles (muscles of trunk, tail and eye balls). It receives the information regarding touch and sensation from the dorsal grey matter (dorsal horns).
