which gas is known as stranger gas and why? if the answer is other that hydrogen, then explain why can't hydrogen be a stranger gas . as according to me,it doesn't has a fixed position in the modern periodic table so, this should be the answer.

"Xenon" is known as stranger gas. Xenon was discovered by William Ramsay and Morris Travers. They found it in the residue left over from evaporating components of liquid air. Ramsay suggested the name xenon for this gas from a Greek word [xenos].The neuter singular form of that word is [xenos] which means foreigner or stranger or 'guest.

Position of Hydrogen element is not fixed in periodic table but for that we cannot keep hydrogen gas as stranger.
