Kandla–Bhatinda Oil Pipeline (KBPL) is the longest oil pipeline in India. It started working in 1996. The total length is 1443 km with a capacity of 6.0 MMTPA. The pipeline is owned by the Indian Oil Company (IOC) and is used for transporting oil to the North Western region of India due to rapid increase in demand for petroleum products in this area.
