Open in App
Solution

  1. Henry Ford was the forerunner of mass production in car manufacturing in 1920s.
  2. He followed the ‘assembly line’ method (method followed in slaughterhouse) in his Detroit car plant which was found to be an inexpensive and quicker technique of manufacturing automobiles.
  3. This assembly line method pushed the workers to repeat the same job constantly at a speed to cope with the conveyor belt.
  4. As a result output per worker increased and cars of Henry Ford came out at three-minute gaps. This was never achieved previously.
