which principle of light is used in endoscopy
Dear Student!
The endoscope pipe uses the phenomenon of Total Internal Reflection for imaging of the internal organs of the human body. A narrow tube of glass fibre with plastic coating carries light from one end of the fibre to another into the cavity of the body. The injured part is illuminated by this light. The reflected light travels back into the eye piece and the physician is able to see what is happening inside the body.
