Which states followed the Green Revolution? In which states of India was it sucessful? Why was the Green Revolution not tried in the other states?

1) Green Revolution was introduced in states like Punjab, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu etc on trial basis

2) It emerged successful in Punjab, Haryana etc

3) Green Revolution plan could be implemented only in regions where plenty of water is available for irrigating the High Yielding Variety of seeds, adequate fertilisers required for improving the yield etc.

4) Due to the above said reasons, Green Revolution was not tried in other states as they did not fulfill these requirements
