Which will be adsorbed more easily on the surface of charcoal- NH3 or CO2 and why?
The higher the critical temperature, the more easily a gas is liquefied that is larger the vander waal's force of attraction and hence more readily it will be adsorbed.
Critical temperature is that above which a gas cannot be liquefied how high the pressure may be applied.
NH3 gas has higher critical temperature than CO2 therefore it will be adsorbed more readily than CO2.
