Question

which will conduct more electricity ,compunds having high melting point and boiling point or less melting point and boiling point ? why ?

Open in App
Solution

There is no relation of melting point and boiling point with the conducting power of a substance. However, at higher temperature, kinetic energy of electron increases and hence its conducting power also increase.

Therefore we may say a compound in liquid state conducts more electricity than its solid state.
