Solution

Dear Student,

Here is the answer to your query.

Earthworm are basically found in the moist environment and feed upon the plant debris. They convert this debris into organic matter and inturns make the soil fertile. So the part of the field which shows plenty of earthworm is supposed to be moist and rich in organic matter. The fertility of this soil will also be high. Since earthworm do not grow in too acidic, alkaline, dry or wet soil. So the presence of earthworm in an indicator of soil conditions good for plant growth.

Hope this answer will be useful for you.

Cheers!
