Subject: Appeal for column on cruelty against animals.
Hello Sir,
This letter is to bring to the notice of hundreds of people the cruelty our wildlife faces today. Poaching and hunting have left our jungles barren. Animals ill-treated in zoos in circus and on the streets are a shame to us.
It was only yesterday that I found a black baby bear being teased to dance at the command of a village man. It is a source of entertainment for the people on the road and definitely an easy way of income for that man. However, it is a sin to turn a blind eye to the ill it does to an animal, physically and mentally.
Hope our nation finds such aspects as wake up calls so that we are encouraged towards fighting against cruelty done to animals. Through your newspaper I would like to bring this serious issue into everybody's notice.
