White light can also be made by adding the colours red, green and blue.

If such a white light is passed through a prism, will it also seperate into 7 colors of the rainbow?

If we pass a light mixture of red, green and blue through a prism it will disperse into three constituent colors. There are no other components in that particular mixture of light. White light consist all seven color components this is the reason it disperse in seven constituent colors.
