who is known as father of science fiction
Jules Verne (1828 - 1905) best merits this title. He wrote novels such as A Journey to the Center of the Earth, 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, The Mysterious Island, From the earth to the Moon. Which might not be considered science fiction but, the way he would describe things well beyond his time, such as a submarine, paved the way to modern science fiction.
