who was charlotte bronte? how was she presented the picture of women in her novels
Charlotte Bronte was an English Novelist and poet who died at a young age of 39 in 1855. She used to write under the pen name of Currer Bell. Bronte got recognition for her novel “Jane Eyre”, which was published in 1847. Through the four novels she wrote, she presented powerful, fiery and clever women characters who always challenged and opposed the conditions surrounding women in 19th century such as their position in society and idea of marriage.
