Why and how does a radiation effect a human body?

When exposed to radiation, nucleic acid and proteins in the cells becomes ionized. This changes in the molecular structures affecting the function and metabolism of the cells. This may cause breakage of the DNA and change cell replications. Moreover, the ionization of water molecules due to radiation may cause changes in OH molecules changing the functionality of cells.

Effects:

  1. Quick lose of hair
  2. Permanent damage of Brain cells
  3. Blood count may reduce
  4. May cause heat failure
  5. Can cause cancer
