why are iron sheet galvanized before use
The iron sheets are galvanized before use to prevent it from rusting . The iron sheets are dipped into the solution containing zinc and this zinc makes a thin layes on iron.
It prevents the iron from rusting and corrosion in two ways:
1) It covers the iron from coming in direct contact with water and oxygen.
2) It being more reactive than iron reacts first and undergoes oxidation.
