Solution

Antartic region is a very colder region. In Antartic region high-altitude winds create the polar vortex that begin to blow around the continent. During the winter, temperatures inside the polar vortex become very low due to which water vapor and several other types of molecules in the stratosphere condense into extremely small icy particles known as a polar stratospheric clouds (PSCs).
Chlorine atoms preset in the air get bind with these tiny icy particles and prevent the chlorine to attack the ozone layer.By the time more and more Cl builds up inside the vortex. During late August, when the sun begins to rise, UV rays strike the chlorine molecules inside the vortex and break them apart, releasing billions of chlorine atoms that begin to attack ozone molecules. The result is massive ozone destruction. This result in the formation of ozone hole.
