CFL bulbs work on the phenomena of fluorescence which is the light produced by a material when radiation is incident upon it. Now, CFLSs due to the above working mechanism produced less waster heat compared to ordinary incandescent light bulbs, the remain cooler even with continuous usage compared to ordinary bulbs. This s the reason why CFLs are more efficient than normal bulbs as less energy is wasted.
