Question

why conductors oppose the flow of electric charge ??

Open in App
Solution

This is due to their resistance. The collision of free electron with the atoms/ions of conductor produce hindrance to the flow of charge.
Insulators do not allow electricity to pass through them at all. This is due to lack of free electrons.
